Head in the well

"I have been emotionally shattered,
Literally battered.
Lived most of my life not thinking I mattered.
I have been broken, dented and scratched.
Avoiding being attached
Always hiding,
So there is no colliding.
I come from a different batch.
And was a hell of a catch.
Then I lost myself from with in and fell.
Far down the well,
Now I am up and at it.
Feeling swell.
Amazing how the mind can cast a spell..
