In search of

"As I step into the forest circuit,
In search of freedom of the mind
Seeking solstice and beauty of another kind.
Seeking glorious mornings and stellar evenings
Clearing the clutter in my mind,
Replenishing it with solitude and gratitude
Adding bird chirps and crackling wind to them.
Adding to the touch,
Some elk roar off in the nearby corridor.
While rabbits hop across the trail,
Deer grazing in the valley.
Which brings me peace, solstice and happiness
Which I embrace and never let go
As for what I seek, I have found...."
